15 killed, 25 injured in Peki–Tsame crash

A tragic head-on collision on the Eastern Corridor road near Peki-Tsame in the Volta Region has resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people and left 25 others injured. The accident involved a heavily loaded commercial bus and a heavy-duty haulage truck traveling in opposite directions. Eyewitnesses report that one of the vehicles attempted a high-speed overtaking maneuver on a sharp curve, losing control and colliding violently with the oncoming vehicle..
